Standards & References

Quatrion's reference agents are framed against recognized engineering standards so findings are easier to review. Mapping to a standard supports first-pass triage; it is not a compliance certification.

Page summary

The engineering standards Quatrion reference agents map to for first-pass triage — and the line between screening against a standard and certifying compliance.

Standards referenced

SAE J1100
Motor vehicle dimensions — interior and exterior reference dimensions used in dimensional and packaging review.
SAE J826 / J833
H-point manikin and occupant physical dimensions used in reach-envelope and ergonomics screening.
FMVSS 201
Occupant protection in interior impact, referenced for head-impact zone screening.
ECE R21
Interior fittings and head impact, referenced for head-impact zone screening.
ECE R125
Forward field of vision of drivers, referenced for pillar vision-obstruction screening.
ASME Y14.5 (GD&T)
Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, referenced for dimensional tolerance review.
DTS
Program-specific dimensional/technical specification targets used in tolerance verification.

Screening agents without an external standard

Some reference agents — such as NVH frequency screening, panel buckling susceptibility, and Class-A continuity — screen against internal review bands, susceptibility scores, or continuity classifications rather than a published regulatory standard. They prioritize candidates for deeper review; they are not regulatory checks.

Boundary

Referencing a standard for first-pass triage does not replace certified compliance testing, lab measurement, final validation, simulation sign-off, or engineer approval.
